Flying in and around Las Vegas

Hiya guys,
I’ve recently booked a trip to Las Vegas with my family and was really hoping to grab some footage with the Mavic pro.
I understand that the flying regs etc are tighter in the USA, can anyone please put me straight on just where, where not etc I will be able to send the drone up?

Best bet would be to download an app like AirMap. It will show you what areas are restricted and why. That being said, don't expect to fly in the city (see below from AirMap).

head to lake las vegas, three kids mine (tip the guy 5-10 bucks to park in his parking lot), seven magic mountains, jean dry lake bed, mountain do, red rock, lake mead

I got some great footage in The Valley of Fire State park, and it's legal to fly there. About 1 hr from Vegas. Best way is to rent a UTV (buggy) you can self drive they will give you GPS w loaded trail and an emergency satellite transponder.
