Flying in NJ.

Hello,

I am currently visiting the NJ shore and really wanted to do some beach flying. However I am seeing towns like Point Plesent have ordinances that require you to have your part 107 license to fly there. I have registered my drone with the FAA but I don't have a license as I just fly recreationally. Where in NJ can I fly on the beach with out legal ramifications?

Raritan bay from Oldbridge waterfront park. You have to go early to avoid people. ( Great Beds Lighthouse ) Jersey Droners is going there at 6am tomorrow 5:30am for sunrise. Check out meetup.com Jersey Droners.

Belford Fry ny waterway terminal there is non commuter parking right near beach.(Weapon station Earle... remember 3000 feet away from navy ships! Don’t ruin the location by flying close to the naval pier or any ships parked there.)

Ideal Beach further north of Earle views of city from afar.

Carteret boat ramp fly south to see ship graveyard. Don’t fly over oil tanks or oil tankers.. state police barracks are right next to the pier.

I have flown around the Trenton Makes Bridge quite a few times as well as Arm and Hammer Park. The overlook on 295 is a great spot too.

You'll find that DJI drones practically fly themselves. I don't know which drone you have, but read your manual, and practice using "Find My Drone". Chances are you'll crash and lose your bird. Just be sure you know how to find it before that happens. It's tough to learn how when you're under stress and in less than ideal circumstances.
