Flying in NYC

Hi folks,

I am going to NYC in a couple of days and i am evaluating if is worth to bring my mavic pro with me.

I have read the FAA rules, and I am registered and also I understand the rules for flying small uavs. Also donwloaded the b4ufly app.

But i don't know if there are additional restrictions to fly in NYC. My thoughts are fly at small height in some parks or at the bay, to take some photos or videos.

anyone can help me with this?

NYC is a big place with lots of interference and air traffic. You had better be very careful.

All restrictions are easily found online. (Only certain parks for example.)

so i understand that in nyc is almost impossible to fly, unless you call every single helipad, airfield, etc, that are within 5 miles of the zone you want to fly. Also, the Hudson and the East rivers are a no-fly zone...

is that correct?

I live in nyc and i tell you flying in manhattan is nightmare. Maybe parks would be the best idea.
