Flying in the Dominican Republic

Has anyone flown a drone on the resort that they stayed at in the Dominican Republic? Leaving in a couple of weeks and was curious about the laws there.

Almost no laws there so guard it with your life! Ask the resort or take $10 and give it to the officer

Was at Punta Cana last year and flew my Mavic. We saw several Phantoms, guys flying right down on the beach. DR does have laws on drones, but they are normal rules like line of sight and not by airports, etc.
Sand is super fine there. Don’t land or take off from the beach without a beach towel or helipad.
