Ok my English Mates, I'm will be traveling to Blighty in May and plan on bringing my Mavic 2 Pro, so I did some research and see that you all have to register for a Flyer ID and an Operator ID
So I took the 20 or so question test, registered with CAA paid my 9 quid printed my stickers with my operator ID for putting on the drone when I get there.
So my question is.... As any of these requirements changed?

That’s all you need these regulations only come in to affect last month , and of course fly by the rules !

You get issued a operator I’d which must be displayed on all your drones you fly and carry a copy of your flyer I’d which is what you need to show

One more thing I just did all this in December 2019 and I just noticed that my operator ID expires April 12, 2020 and the flyer ID expires April 12, 2022. Do all registrations expire in April? as it will be less than 4 months after I got it

No, it should be 1 year for operator and 3 years for flyer. Have you got the dates backwards? In the UK we use DD/MM/YYYY

I suspect that’s the case.

That's all you need to do regulatory-wise ... But I'd suggest you download the .pdf file on this CAA website page, to give you a handy reference guide to the UK UAV 'Dronecode' regulations ...

You may find the link where to fly UK useful for your visit. To get full use you can join the Grey Arrows Drone Club for free. The maps have been very recently updated and legal places of interest to fly are regularly added. Directions, parking, photos, videos are often provided so you can see what is on offer and how to get there.

I use droneassist app and airmap to know where I can/can't fly and what any advisories might be. Obviously be registered! But I've not had anybody ask me if I'm registered. It was a news item for a day or so. Yesterday's news is todays chip wrapping as the old saying goes.
