I had my first crash yesterday. Completely my fault. I am a moderate experience pilot - far from expert, but I have had a few drones. In the past if i was close to a leafy tree with the Mavic the obstacle avoidance has prevented a collision. Yesterday I was using my DJI Goggles for the very first time, and sadly through pilot error i strayed too close to a tree, clipping it close to the top and falling 5 or 6 meters to the ground, braking every propeller and the rear right arm
What concerned be though was that this very leafy tree was not picked up by the forward obstacle avoidance. Does anyone know if this is automatically turned off when using the goggles??? I had only just updated to latest version firmware on everything prior to the flight too...
