Found DJI Air 1 or 2 at Corvina Beach, Salton Sea

On a recent trip to the Salton Sea, I stopped briefly at Corvina Beach, and walked right up to this lost DJI Air 1 or 2. It was sitting face down in this position in the salt flats about 30 ft from the water line. Given the fast rate at which the Sea is receding, I believe this drone was underwater not too long ago. It was in pretty bad shape, 3 propellers missing, heavily caked with accumulated salt. The card in the SD card slot has disintegrated.

This would have no value to anyone except it might be of interest to the original owner that someone did find this.

That looks like an Air 2. It's definitely not a Mavic Air (1).

Thanks! I actually had no idea what an Air 1 looked like...just thought it was an older lookalike to the Air 2....

That could be...all I know is that when I try to push in slightly to extract the SD card, I experience a "crunching" in the slot and the material in there, such as it is, seems to collapse somewhat, which makes me believe the card has disintegrated....I have no experience with what the results would be on a drone and its parts if immersed in water for a while...could be just the water alone causing disintegration....but the water of the Salton Sea is extremely salty.

I really don't add salt to any of my food, but it does make me think of French Fries

If there is no RID module attached to it .. You could be breaking some homeland security laws by possessing it. Maybe you should mail it to New Jersey.. they will know what to do with it

Air 2 doesn't need an attached RID, has firmware update that incl RID. Anyways, that drone is pos junk. Guess any personal ID markings are long gone too.

Lick of paint and some WD-40 and it should be flyable again... !
