FPV Motion Controller Question...

I’m intrigued by the new Motion Controller. I’ve watched several videos on its use and integration with the drone. One question I have not heard addressed is the range of the Motion Controller. Looking at the difference in size between the Motion Controller and the RC is there a difference in range??

Flew one today, seems to be same range... Video tends to break up before the RX
