Part 4 of our 8-part installment of our journey through France.

From the highest peaks of the Alps and the Mercantour, to the emerald lakes and spectacular cliffs of the Verdon Gorges, via the fields of fine lavender of Haute-Provence, the chestnut and olive groves of the nice hinterland, the southern accent sings here to the rhythm of the good life.
Protected by its sometimes tormented or abrupt setting, it reveals itself all along its string of villages and hamlets which adjoin sites as grandiose as they are exceptional… and the charm works!
Each place has a story to tell. They all bear witness to the respect of traditions, to the desire of these Provençal mountain people to pay tribute to the beauty that surrounds them.
The mountainous valleys of the Verdon, Vaïre, Var and Asse unfold their wide open spaces conducive to the most diverse activities. They are also conducive to the gentle way of life as well as to extreme sensations.
Here, the spirit of each person has a rendez-vous with nature, the body with well-being… For the time being, it has only just begun, the Verdon is a destination unlike any other.

Everything is shot with Dji Mini 2 and Dji Osmo Pocket.

Enjoy

Spectacular once again!
Excellent editing, shots and music match to the shots. You should really call the Tourism Bureau in France and tell them you have what they want. I am serious. I just moved France to the top of my must-visit places.
Great work. I enjoyed it…. A lot!

Thank you for your beautiful response

I'd have love to have flown my drone in many of these areas in the video but IIRC, most of them are prohibited, especially over the lake and the river which feeds the lake because you have a lot of people on kayaks below.

There's also some lookouts over very high cliffs, looks spectacular, the Route des Crêtes. But I recall seeing a lot of large birds circling and gliding in that area.

Every place on the video was allowed to fly. I always check geoportail (the official french geo site), there are a lot of possibility's to fly there so I don't know why you say that most are prohibited. In that period kayaks were forbidden on the river because there was almost no water on it so no problem with people under the drone (mini 2). The shot with the vultures are made with the Osmo Pocket and no drone is used there by me in there habitad.

My mistake, some limited zones, 50 meters instead of 120 meters.

But I think Geoportail doesn't necessarily account for national parks, which I thought Gorge du Verdon was.
