France is so restrictive :(

Thats basically his reaction to everything. Behaves like a spoilt child. Has no understanding at all about the real world and other countries or the reasons behind many restrictions.
Just goes with the arrogant rule of "If i dont like it, ignore it and screw everyone else".
Martin Luther King said people should not obey unjust laws. I follow reasonable laws. Certainly a whole country, banning foreigners from bringing drones in, is not reasonable. Or countries that require permits but make it impossible to get one. And ridiculous VLOS laws that make no sense. To name a few. I could probably go on forever.

Your username rang a bell in the back of my mind. Then I remembered, you're the guy who got his batteries wet then complained when DJI balked at replacing them. After that horse was beat to death, it was advertised flight time, which was also beat to death. Now it's taking pictures of girls. You're a pervert, not to mention a troll. Find some other way to get your jollies.

MODS: if this is out of line, I apologize, but please look at this guy's previous posts - including the ones in this thread and decide whether he is the kind of drone pilot you want tarnishing our reputations to the non-drone community.

There are no adverse RID reports because RID apps and RID in general isn't working.
The RID app I use has worked every time I've tried on every drone I have.
At this point, the app doesn't exist in the Karen world so no, you won't get any bad reports.
Uh-huh. 100,000 downloads for Drone Scanner alone.
Most of US drones flying are NOT even transmitting.
Doubtful. Have a reference for that bold statement?
At the same time, there are no government criminal captures reported using RID either.
None? We don't know that.

Once the Karen finds out the app doesn't work to expectation, they delete it. And they don't bother to spread the word to the rest for the Karens. That's a failure. It's been longer than a year now and it's now or never; nothing should take this long to show returns. You think the millions of dollars it took to implement RID by both the government and the manufacturers and the burden on flyers is a success story? You ask other people all the time, do you have any incidents where RID was used to capture even one criminal illegally flying a drone without proper authorization?

RID is an additional tool which could be used to identify honest, law-abiding pilots who accidentally break the law and the RID will be used to positively ID them when you detain and cite them. In the event of a drone ban, RID will be aggressively used to identify illegal drones being flown by those citizens who don't obey the ban and fail to disable RID since it will be the primary (only) way to ID a drone flying in the banned airspace.

More worries about government falsely punishing innocent drone pilots. Drone ban! Wolf!

But still no reports of attacks on drone pilots who were tracked down by criminals and busy-bodies using RID. Remember all the dire predictions? The folks who felt firearms and bear spray would be required gear to stem the coming wave of attacks?

Optional, not required. But I understand for some poor Americans, it is prohibited.
