Free mapping app

Long story short. Drone deploy offered me a 2 week trial months ago so Im at a buddy's cabin that needs some mapping done. Get everything set up and i get "your trial period has ended." I never activated the program. Must have had a shelf life. I dont see needing it again in the near future so buying it is not really an option. Any recommendations?

You can get a 30 day trial of Pix4D or Agisoft Metashape.

All of the common mapping apps are free to use for a mapping flights but you pay for their processing of the images you collect.
You could try an introductory freebie from one of the others.

Agisoft Metashape is not used for flying mapping missions.
It is a mapping image processing program.

Check out WebODM for processing. It's free, open source, and keeps getting improvements. Installation takes a bit of work, but they offer an installation package for a nominal fee, $57. They also now have a credit based cloud processing option if you choose to go that route. You'll need a computer with fairly robust specs to do your own processing. There are other credit based options out there so you can "pay as you go" rather than subscribe to a monthly service.

As far as the actual flight apps - Pix4d is probably the most straight forward, and as mentioned above the flight apps (Drone Deploy, Pix4d, and others) remain free to use regardless of where you process the pics.
