Except YouTube crushes the video files, and isn't designed for photos.
YouTube is good for having a “portfolio” for potential clients to view what you can do for them. If you are trying to sell your work and you need deliverables for your client then no YouTube does not serve this purpose. I think the author of the article needed to provide a clearer definition of his intentions. For me, I provide deliverables via Box, Google drive, or on a flash drive. If the author was trying to find a place to upload general content for people to buy it/license it, then that is a whole different story. I’ve researched this and found a few sites but haven’t actually done this yet. Perhaps someone who uploads their work for sale can share with us how they do it. Vimeo comes to mind.
