I got distracted by my pine tree adventure, but now that I have the SD card back, I found that my 4K + 2X zoom test worked pretty well. I couldn't tell the difference with the 4K initially, since my TV is only 1080p, but on my tablet the difference in quality is striking.

I bought the commercial package from PI, and I'm sure there will be some good tips in there.
