Received Mavic Pro on Friday, been reading and watching videos for helpful advise so I dont crash and burn my first RC

Good for you! Read the manual at least twice. Watch all the vids you can. Most importantly, calibrate before that first flight correctly. Pay attention to your surroundings and even the stuff on your person. Then have fun with beginner mode for the first battery, then move up from there. This thing is amazing to fly!

Open field, flight checklist, and make sure you establish a home point before take off. Focus on the mavic dont worry about taking pictures or video untill your comfortable flying.
