Gimbal and Camera repurposing on another drone (Advanced)

I've just about had it with flying iphones and am really thinking of just parting out my Mini 2 SE to use the motors, gimbal and camera on a drone i actually own. I know this is nothing simple and everything is tightly integrated, but i wanted to know if it's locked down to the firmware level, encrypted and signed, and completely unusable without the motherboard, or is there a way to use them seperately from the drone (assuming the right protocol is figured out, i know it's not just plug and play)

Not really you can get better motors and the other stuff is tied to the firmware. If you could "figure it out" You would be a very busy person. lol

If you're here, you have one!
I mean how locked-down and walled DJI drones are, i can't do *ANYTHING* they didn't decide on. Want the SDK? Oh get the Mini 2 not the 2 SE. Want Gimbal Pitch in your photo EXIF? Oh get the Mini 3 Pro not the Mini 3. Intolerable.

Yeah it would be a big job. The motors are good for a camera drone. I figure the motherboard firmware will not work with another gimbal, hence the tools and everything, but i wanted to know if the gimbal itself authenticates the data it receives, if the protocol can be reverse engineered. This is a big job but there's a big interest because there is simply no comparable offering in the DIY drone world, if it could be hacked there would be a huge interest.
