I just got myself an brand new DJI Mavic Pro platinum. Ever since the beginning, my camera is drifting to left or right. Depending on how you rotate the drone.

If I rotate the drone standing still (and no props on) onto a table it slowly drifts to right and after a couple of seconds it is steady. This is really frustrating, because this also happens mid air

I did a couple of flights today, and every recording went good. Just when I noticed some random struggles, or hick ups into the footage. Video's below:

Its worth noticing there was no wind today, and nothing of the weather could have caused this.
I tried calibrating every single sensors even refreshed every software trough DJI assistant it didn't make any difference.

What's causing this, and what's the solution?

Have you done an IMU calibration, this will usually help.

What is your SD card type and speed rating. The stuttering might be dropped frames.

Dunno about the gimbal drift.

Just something to check ... Make sure that the gimbal mount is underneath the tab at the back ...
Gimbal_tab.jpg If the gimbal is hanging free, you can get this problem. It can be gently maneuvered back under the tab if it has popped out.

Looking at your two vid's - the judder problem seems to occur when you go from flying forward, to stop ... Is that correct? If that's the case, it could be that the Gain settings are incorrect, and the gimbal is picking up some sympathetic vibration due to the Mavic 'trembling' a bit when it is trying to put itself into a stable hover. If that sounds like what's happening, let me know and I can provide more info.
Are you running the 'standard' Mav' Pro Platinum 'low noise' 8331 prop's? - or have you got some other DJI or 3rd party prop-set on it??

Thanks for the reply! For the Gimbal picture you've sent I need to check it when I am home.

This Mav is brand new and I am using the low noise props which came included. I don't have any other DJI nor 3d party props.

Also the stuttering in the videos is not causing by stopping, speeding down or up. The drone was flying a straight line at the same moderate speed all the time.

Thanks for your time!

Interesting - the second vid' that you posted shows the background moving right up to about 0:04, and then for the rest of the vid' - the background is static ... Have a look at the bottom of the video and you'll see what I mean. If you believe that the Mavic was actually flying forward during that whole video, then something definitely 'stopped' it at 0:04 - just at the same time as the judder, the background stops rolling under the bottom of the video. If you had the same forward speed engaged through all that video, then you MAY have hit a head-wind gust that stopped the Mavic in its tracks, and could also have caused a wobble?

I think the "stutter" is due to high wind at altitude.

Exactly. These are just some parts out of my footage. It was happening at an sudden point on all the footages. At different heights, random locations etc.

I was also thinking that. But it can't be, because that was in Portugal, there was really no wind that day. Not a single breeze.. That's why I toke it out to try it outside.

I also have a small footage of the drone which is filming and then it stutters (goes a couple of Milli seconds back), refocusses the video and then it does normal again. I"ll add the footage in a couple of hours when I am home

Its really weird. It looks like that but if I upload logs you can see I didn't touch it and something else is causing this. The reason I know this is because it happens on a lot of footages, at different heights etc. Windy, no windy. I even flow to make sure I was always the same speed straight line. And it was still happening.

You were flying right next to the water. Winds near the water are unexpected and variable.
