Here are a few copy/paste answers of the most common fixes for your issue. Hope it works!

I emailed DJI and the response was to upgrade the software and re-calibrate everything. I flew this morning in 1080p and issue seems fixed.. Someone on the forum said that may fix the problem. Thanks

Try to re-update to the lastest firmware and then re-calibrate everything:
step1: calibrate IMU via DJI Assistant 2 (free app for computer)
step2: Calibrate GPS
step3: Calibrate Gimbal

See if this fixes it. Many people have also reported that their gimbal's were only auto-recalibrating while recording and having it switch to 4k.

Did all these 3 steps but the problem didn't go away. Bought Mavic(refurbished) about 2 months ago, so theoretically it should go under warranty but as summer has just started then I don't want to send my drone to them. :)

btw, it's not just gimbal. Right before gimbal starts reset camera is facing road but after the reset it is facing lake. So drone itself must have lost orientation as well.
