Gimball / Camera jerks in trace mode

I'm trying to take aerial video footage of a house. I'm using active track -> trace mode -> orbit. The camera will take smooth footage at first, but then the camera/gimbal will make a jerk-like motion and move. Can anyone explain why? When I select my subject to track, i'm drawing a big box, not a small one. Please see the video below.

Yes I have. I think it may be to do with the distance the drone is from the object I'm filming.
