Most of the leaves have fallen, and the forest is a very different place than it was last week. We’ve had a spell of Indian summer — temperatures 10° higher than normal — so hiking feels a bit odd.
I got curious about the yellow trees, so flew over for a better look. They appear to be tamarack.
