Great backpack for the M4P

Really! Mine to top / lid does not sit well. If there was a light rain, any rain would get in the bag.
Yeah, no secure locking clip, no protective zipper top inside to keep out rain, and a side handle on top that won't let the bag hang straight up and down when carried. Other than that, it's fine. LOL! Works from house to car, and working out of your car, but not for hiking, biking, or riding a scooter or motorcycle.

The Lowepro Droneguard BP 250 is great for carrying the M4P. I used this with a Autel Evo 2 for 5 years; it is still in great shape and will now serve well for the M4P.

It has room for the drone, 3 batteries, ND case and RC 2 Pro with lanyard in the main compartment. The top two compartments have room for the charger and battery dock, plus spare props and more.

I hate hard cases and the DJI case is worthless. Unless you are throwing your kit around this will give you plenty of protection and a more versatile carry option.
I don't think anyone's description here provides justice to how good this bag really is. I received mine a few days ago but only just got looking into it. Its extremely well laid out, has pockets, zippers and space for a whole lot of stuff. I'm really impressed and will test fit the Mavic 4 Pro, snacks and other tidbits into it; I primarily purchased it for when I ride on my Mountain Bike on road and trails, may give me an incentive to ride more often.

I have a 22 mile ride planned on the 19th, participating in Tour De Whatcom 2025, I'll take this backpack and my Mavic 4 Pro along and stop somewhere to Active Track me during interesting stretches of the 11 mile each way ride; sounds exciting to me. It will also give me a chance to test out a controller on handlebar stand I have yet to install.

I tested the Active Track on mine (while wearing my new backpack) on my mountain bike recently. I was really pleased with the Mavic 4's capability. Looking forward to doing more testing soon.

Glad you like it as much I have mine over the last five years. Sorry I didn't sing it's praises well enough.

Take a black sharpie and blackout the Lowepro stitching and it becomes less conspicuous.

Awesome! Where was your controller? I have the handlebar mount for the RC 2 controller ready (see pics below) while I also intend to carry my RC Pro 2 controller in my back pack, not that I need to but I'll use it at the mid-way point where hundreds of bikers stop by.
Sorry just quickly took a few pics and few need to be correctly oriented.

Looks great! I just set the active track, then pulled the joysticks off and put the controller back in the backpack. Then, I just looked around periodically (or listened) to make sure the drone was following me safely and accurately.

Wow! Thats really daring; I know I can trust both my drones, both have DJI Care, yet I would be seriously uncomfortable doing that. Just thinking of scenarios where you may hit a rock, fall or injure yourself and the drone is still up there attempting to active tracking you; eventually it would land where it was hovering once battery ran low. We need to work with these limitations of one man operations. For instance my Garmin 1040 bike computer is programmed to automatically dial out my emergency contact in case it detects a fall. Perhaps thats something we can look for in future drones, like RTH or Return and land at or around controller location if safe.

The RC Pro 2 has dynamic homepoint.

Good point, I completely forgot about that and it would work when specifically using the RC Pro 2 in the open, which unlike the RC 2, needs the monitor extended with joysticks exposed, something that may pose a challenge from a backpack or a chest strap or something. In any case I want a real time active track view on the controller while riding, hence built the handlebar mount for the RC 2, not quite strong enough or practical to support the bulkier RC Pro 2. The RC 2 is ok on there although I have yet to put it through its paces this weekend. I wish DJI could update the RC 2 for Dynamic Home Point some day, or perhaps in a future similar controller.

I'm sure someone here has even better ideas than me. :)

In certain types of terrain I’d agree, but this was really gentle terrain near my home with almost zero chance of anything major like that happening

In prep for my 22 mile Tour de Whatcom ride next Saturday, I was able to evaluate active track on my Mavic 4 Pro, being controlled by and live screen displayed on the RC 2 controller mounted on the handlebar of my mountain bike. The test was primarily a durability test of the RC 2 contoller mount on the bike handlebar and it did not move while I rode the bike over dips and divots in the vast lawns and the road around our home; the back lawns have large trees with overhanging branches plus I also rode the bike close to our home, around corners, to check the drone's obstacle avoidance capabilities next to large tall bushes etc. while tracking a smaller subject.

Even though it performed flawlessly, I need to study about initial drone height etc. for close tracking; I think I set it to around 20' altitude. For the experts out there, what's a safe/ideal altitude to start active track my bike while I ride through open country roads with light traffic; I would not use the drone in areas. Then in the middle, when safe, I also want to experiment with POI mode.

Edit: It appears in auto mode the drone does its own thing and I'd proabably use it it auto mode when riding the bike.

The picture quality of this drone is phenomenal.

Are you actually going to ride a bike and operate the controller simultaneously? A future Darwin Award winner.
Not as much operate the controller, except in an emergeny but monitor the screen to check if its still tracking me without having to frequently look around, a limitation eliminated by having the contoller screen right there in full view. Now it would be wonderful if the controller had a voice control like my Sena mtb helmet does which has built in speaker and a noise cancelling mic, provides audio notifications of heart rate, hear rate alerts, power, speed, bike radar alerts, also connects to my iphone and can communicate with Siri.

Love the Sena helmets, especially for rider to rider communication. Lead rider can alert those following to upcoming hazards they cannot see from behind another rider, especially at night. Safety first.
