GSD When scanning a built up area

Hi all

I understand GSD but what do you guys do when you're scanning a town or city, or anything that has massive differences in height? How do you calculate what it should be?

I tried looking up GSD on Google and only found Glucodin Storage Disease. I will have to get a hold of a list of all the abbreviations people use ( if there is such a list )
