I've had the charger for a year of so...
Model is battery plugs into charger directly (no cables to battery).

Never operated "storage mode/discharge" before.

No green light.. only the blue, after holding red/button light 2 seconds.
(tried holding for two seconds when blue... goes to red).

so... I am guessing it only has the "storage mode."
Which is what I want.

I charged the batteries to 100% yesterday to do firmware updates and get my remote id
squared away (finally) for my FAA renewal requirements (recreational).

Battery after "storage mode" operation.
#1 54% charge 2-solid 1-blinking battery leds.
#2 63% charge 3-solid battery leds.
#3 68% charge 3-solid battery leds.

#1 I used for the firmware updates yesterday so it had some loss from that.
All the batteries were around 20-30% before 100% charge day before.

Does the Battery's BMS have a balancing mode.. or is that only done on the charger?
Hantora manual says the charger does into a balance mode at end of storage mode cycle.

Thanks group.

There are different Hanatora-branded chargers with different functionality, but mine seems to be similar to yours.
It has three modes,
charging - red light,
discharging - green light
storage - blue light.
Storage setting (blue light) only works when the battery has less than approx. 40-50% charge. It then charges it up to around 60% and shuts off. It can not partially discharge a battery to storage mode.
Discharge setting (green light) discharges the battery until it shuts itself off to prevent damage.

It is important that when using discharge or storage setting the battery must be powered on!
And remove the battery from the charger before changing setting.

The way I use the Hanatora is to first fully charge the battery, then discharge it (green light) to around 5% or so. Then let it rest an hour, before I set it in storage mode (blue) and let it charge until it shuts off (at 50-60% charge).

Thank you for the reply.
I don't get a green light... only blue.
Using the "blue light" it discharged the batteries as described
in the attached manual page.

I don't have the bookmark where I found the manual (on this website)..
But I did save it... same model.

The "storage mode" as described in the picture/manual is what I experienced.
No green light.... the percentage drop was not consistent.

Balancing... I have experience RC helicopters years ago.
The were not smart batteries. Balancing was done with the charger.
I don't know what the "smart" battery's do as far as balancing.
