from birds..

Who knew, right? I never thought it would happen to me..

Was a nice day (with no rainy looking clouds) and I was tempted to make a distance test (didn't in the end because I had some video signal interference, managed to hit 1.6k meters though, Furthest record todate for me).

So brought my bird out, set everything up and let her loose. While she was hovering, I was hooked on my phone making sure all the settings are good, my home point is locked and then I looked up.

There was this lone sparrow, making threatening darts and dives at my MP. I panicked for a while, afraid it will hit my bird and send it falling. After watching a minute or two, I realize it won't dare hit my MP. So feeling a bit brave, I send my bird off (and the sparrow trailed behind for a bit until I lost LOS of my bird)

So flew for a couple of minutes and battery hit 60 plus % so figured might as well bring it back. As mentioned above, there was video signal interference so I decided to abort my distance test..

and lo and behold, I got it hovering above me and the sparrow brought 2 more buddies along and did their darts and dives on my MP again..

This time , after laughing it off for a while, I juggled around with my RC and brought out my other phone to video the birds... So enjoy!

p.s :- Birds really have a grudge against our birds, huh?

There maybe nests around the area and they're feeling threatened by a strange bird.
Birds are sometimes territorial and they will attack/defend their territory.

I always get scared when I see hawks or falcons or eagles in the area. Those birds don't mess around lol

Trust me, if I ever see an Eagle (we have those in my part of the world), I'll surely hightail my MP out and back to me... ;p

Wah that's risky.. Why didn't you just land immediately?

Well, my mavic was bigger than the sparrows, and after my momentary panic moment, I studied them for a minute or so..

They were just harassing my Mavic, no hits no attacks.. they probably didn't dare attack but just wanna shoo shoo this unknown entity away from their (presumably) nearby nest..

So I just went and do my distance test anyway.. The first sparrow followed my Mavic some but it cut back while my MAvic is moving away but still in my LOS..

So I figured there isn't much risk there...

Now if it was an eagle or something, trust me, I'll hightailed my Mavic back like its *** is on fire..
