United Kingdom,
I spent 4 hours last night and another 6+ hours today, my head feels like it's exploding and I am at the end of my line, does anyone know what I am doing wrong, the only thing I can think of is that DJI is blocking the signal as I live in central London?
The phone is connected to the mini USB but still, Nada and the drone is also on, but they don't seem to want to connect/communicate.

Any help/pointers much appreciated.

I did log into my account but it made no difference. I'm still getting the same errors.
If it helps my phone is a Samsung S22 Ultra, which according to DJI, is compatible and I used it last year in Italy without problems.

The communication path from the drone to the mobile device go ... Drone <--> RC <--> Mobile device.

The message on your last pic. says 1744497714896.png (RC not connected to mobile device)

This likely means that the connection works Drone <--> RC... but fails RC <--> Mobile device

Have you tried another usb cable..? Cleaned out the usb connection on the mobile..? Have you tried with another mobile device..?

Concur. Replace the USB2 data cable that links your phone to the RC-N1. Make sure it's a two-way OTG cable... some of them only funnel data one way... I know this because this is something that tripped me up during the first few days of ownership (the problem I was scratching my head over was very similar to yours).

If you look very carefully, the standard DJI cable in the antenna rebate is marked on one connection and blank on the other. The mark is a very indistinct controller icon and only this end of the OTG is plugged into the controller USB2 port.... the blank end connects to your phone. For some reason, I'd removed the cable completely and managed to put it back the wrong way round.IMG_20250413_074655_227~2.jpg

after testing around I found out that it was a combination of the phone 'Samsung S22 Ultra' (Yes it is updated to the latest firmware) and the Micro USB to USB cable.
I tried the cable with three different drones and saw that it was the same on all of them so used another phone (Huawei P40 Mate Pro) all worked except the original, so I used the connector cable from another Mavic Mini and hey presto it worked.

So, it was the cable as some suggested and it was the phone as others have also suggested, so if anyone finds this in the future, try not only different cables & drones but also different phones because even when DJI states that your phone is compatible it may not be.

Thanks Felix le Chat, I ordered a few and look forward to them arriving, not sure why niether of the three drones will work with my Samsung S22 Ultra though need to know what the best phone is to use with DJI apart from apple, (I dont use apple) I get a great connection with the Huawei P40 Mate pro, the P30 pro and the P20 Mate, but not with the Samsung S22 ultra?

Thanks for your help Mark,
After watching I was trying this over, and over, but it just wouldn't work.
I even tried it on another Mavic mini and a mini se all to no avail, then someone advised the cable and another phone, so I tried both, and 'voila' I could connect : )

I am glad you got it working...it had to be worrisome, wondering if the thing was broken
Thanks, Mark,

Yes, it was a bit worrying as it worked perfectly the last time I used it and I have only used it about 4 times now so a real head-scratcher.
I am a bit miffed that it won't work with my Samsung S22 Ultra so will have to use my trusty old Huawei P40 Mate (it's never let me down) and going to the highlands I need something I can rely on.

Hope this thread can help others having the same issue.

Best.

Hugh

I'm not keen on Apple devices either. Everything I use is Android. I keep a fully charged Motorola E30 in my pack as an emergency backup but always use a Lenovo M10+ (gen3) tablet as my flight screen.
