Hello from TEXAS got my Mavic Air2 FlyMore Combo yesterday!

I got my Mavic Air2 yesterday and also got the DJI refresh. I NEVER buy warranties, but this seemed like it was worth it. Installed Micro SD Card, put on Props, Updated all the Firmware, charged the batteries (1 at a time NOT on multi-charger), and I am ready to FLY tomorrow! Can't wait!

Welcome to the forums - a lot of good info here. Also, the search function (magnifying glass icon upper right) is a great way to find answers to many of the questions a "newbie" will have. We were all "newbies" at one point.

Sounds like you're all set up! That's a great bird! Happy flying! You might consider experimenting with Return to Home (RTH) so you are aware of how it works under varying situations. Some people use it all the time, others rarely if ever. If it does kick in on you, say, for loss of signal or something, better to know what's happening and how to use it to your advantage... The MA2 is a fabulous machine for the beginner and the pro alike.Lots of fellow neighbors and others of us from around the world are here to help you gain skill as a pilot and photographer.

Be sure to read the manual! Be sure you practice using “Find My Drone”. Chances are you’ll crash, and perhaps lose your MA2. Just be sure you know how to retrieve it!

I’m another new member who also got my MA2 yesterday - including the DJI refresh. And I also read enough to charge the batteries 1 at a time first, not in the multi charger. Have fun on your first flight! I’m not quite finished setting up yet so I might not be able to get out flying until the weekend.

Hi I hope you have better luck than me! Bought magic air 2 combo package plus care refresh what could possibly go wrong. It was amazing for two days until I noticed the height being given was wrong, the calibration warning light came on but the remote stuck at 95% when trying to rectify! I was sent wrong link by support but noticed before trying to resolve
DJI support cannot fix and told me factory reset was not available on this drone. Only 8 weeks after it was bought I am expected to return it for repair as it's over their time limit for replacement! It was a birthday present so only used for first time last week. I've spent on the care package and not crashed it or done anything wrong so feel somewhat annoyed I dont get a straight replacement. Not good customer service and I was told they may or may not send out addressed lable depending where I lived! Great drone to fly when it works but they need to work on their customer service. I hope you get to enjoy yous for many years without any hassle.

What is the downside of using a multi-charger?

I read in several places that the battery is in hibernation mode when you get it so the first charge should be on the single charger, not the multi-charger. Perhaps that’s an old problem that’s been resolved but I figured I’d do that anyway. After the first charge I will be using the multi-battery charge hub to charge them all.
