Has anybody had success utilizing the HDMI output on the smart controller to input to a tablet that utilizes USB C? Do you need to install specific software?
I've hooked mine up to a TV to act as an extra monitor for bystanders to watch. After hooking it up you need to enable the HDMI port in the settings. It's been a couple years but it was simple to get it working if I remember correctly. The TV was only used as a monitor and mirrors the controller display. On my RC-2 the USB C is a displaylink / alt-video type output. If the controller you have supports video on that port you can connect a wide variety of video displays that will mirror the controller screen. What you need is an app that can allow your tablet to receive the video signal from the controller. Try this: Wired X Display it might work with right USB C - USB C or lightning cable depending on if your tablet is android or Apple.
On the DJI Smart Controller, the USB C is the charging port. This question arose because on my Avata 2, you can run a USB C from the goggles to a tablet and the DJI fly app will open and show the camera view. I was looking for something similar when flying a M2Pro utilizing the smart controller as a way to allow a client to view the drone video feed.On my RC-2 the USB C is a displaylink / alt-video type output.
