Mavic 3 classic. No crashes. If I take off straight up and hover. Then slowly turn drone on axis the horizon changes from level to about 4 degrees off as it goes around then back to level. Reset compass and I I and recal gimbal. Did manual adjust gimbal and just makes it level in different areas and out in other

If you have not done so recently, a calibration of all anti-collision sensors is recommended, as they do have unpredictable effects on drone flight if left uncalibrated. If this step doesn't solve the issue you've described, such sensor calibrations make for a smoother flight overall, even if they are turned off.

What you are describing is "FPV Mode". From the manual:

Gimbal Operation Modes
Two gimbal operation modes are available. Switch between the different operation modes in DJI Fly.
Follow Mode: The angle between the gimbal’s orientation and aircraft front remains constant at all times.
FPV Mode: The gimbal synchronizes with the movement of the aircraft to provide a first-person flying
experience.

It is not on fpv. The drone remains level as the drone turns on axis.
