I saw a local news story recently about using drones to deliver AED's for people suffering cardiac arrest, wish I could find it.

I believe they have approval for flights of up to 12.5 miles each way. Definitely out of line of sight! The Raleigh WakeMed case is the first regularly scheduled UAS flights in the US. Labs at ~ 9 locations will use drones to deliver samples to a central location.
