How accurate is litchis find my drone?

I lost a drone and went where the “litchi find my drone said to go”.
I was right on top of it but no drone

That may indicate the last point at which the mavic was connected to your RC.
By any chance, were you doing a waypont run? If so you can walk and follow the waypoint route and seek out the highest terrain where it may have clip a tree or something else.

If it wasn't a waypoint mission, you might go to the last recorded point and continue on a straight path and look for it. Again, look for tall structures. If the object avoidance mechanism is on, it may avoid high obstacles and then land when the battery runs down.
