How to Enable MANUAL_MODE in Flight Controller Parameters?

Hello, DJI Devs.

I’m trying to enable MANUAL_MODE (acro/manual) on models like the Air 3 or Air 3S using Assistant 2 or any available SDK/API. However, I haven’t found any exposed parameter or method to switch to true manual flight mode (with full roll/pitch/yaw/throttle control and no stabilization).

Questions:

  1. Is there a specific parameter (e.g., in Parameters.txt) or flag in Assistant 2 that enables MANUAL_MODE?
  2. Is MANUAL_MODE locked or restricted for consumer drones like Air series?
  3. Can this be enabled via DJI SDK or through debug firmware settings?
  4. If unsupported: is there any developer-accessible workaround (via .cfg edit, firmware patching, etc.)?

Looking for technical guidance on unlocking this mode if at all possible.
Thanks in advance.

I have seen this subject previously. Do a search and you may find it. I know you used to be able to go into the code and change it from 1,2,3 or 4 to set the C/M/S switch to the mode you wanted. However, I believe it was said in the article that the ability to go into the code and change parameters was locked by DJI several versions back.

There are only a few DJI Drones that have a "true" Manual or ACRO mode. The Air3S does not. It wouldnt be a good drone for that really. The Air3's stabilization cannot be turned off.
