Been doing exactly this since 2018 (literally point-by-point). But then again: I've always seen my drones as valuable tools rather than throwaway toys.
It helps to have a specific case use for flying small form-factor, high resolution cameras.
DJI camera drones have been instrumental in revolutionising the work I do documenting heritage assets and landscapes. It will be a long time before any other manufacturer will even get close to the sophistication, picture quality, fine control handling characteristics, reliability and most importantly - the cost per unit to the end user.
