How to take a tracking shot?

Has anyone taken a shot like the one below? Looks almost like a reverse spiral.
What technique did you use for it? Stick control? Automation using Litchi?

Lichti could do that with ease. Plus you could use a new tool that allows one to prefly the Lichti Mission by exporting the mission as a .kml file that is then passed to Google Earth. It allows one to fine tune the tracking shots and path of the drone.
