Hpw to fly mavic air without remote?

Did you never connect a device at all? You need to do so at least once for activation. Then you can use remote only but distance/height will be limited. You should familarize yourself with the different way of starting/stopping the motors.

Yes I initially connected it all with device . But I also paired with just remote but motors will not start. What am I doing wrong?

Well, no way to know until... you connect the device to see the error message
