Hyperlapse question M3

Guys I have a question that I need some help with. When doing my hyperlapse with my mavic 3. I will normally will let the drone do the hyperlapse going away from me talking photos every couple of seconds. This works fine but a couple of times when the hyperlapse was completed, I have just enough battery to get home cutting it to close for me. My question is there a way I can fly out in the distance before the hyperlapse and let the drone fly back.to me? So when the HL is completed it's just a couple of meters away hopfully and needs less battery to get home?? I will appreciate if someone can help..thanks in advance.

Actually pretty easy. Set your waypoints and timings on the way out, then run the Hyperlapse in reverse. It's all in the settings.
