My Mavic 2 Zoom went unused for a couple years and when I got back to it, I discovered I needed to do a vision sensor calibration. In the interim, I upgraded my computer and didn't carry over the old version of DJI Assistant 2.
That's when the fun started in trying to find an Assistant 2 version that would work. After much downloading and trying versions that would not work, I finally found one that would. The correct DJI Assistant 2 download for the Mavic 2, Pro and Zoom is located HERE in a section entitled "DJI Assistant 2 (Updates Discontinued)." It will install version 2.0.14. NOTE: Each time you run the program it will ask you if you want to install the updated version. DON'T upgrade as it will install the DJI Assistant 2 (Consumer Drone Series) which will not work. Also NOTE, if you have any versions of Assistant 2 on your computer that didn't work, be sure to uninstall them followed by a reboot. Also do a reboot after installing the correct version.
Some folks say you need to load and run Assistant 2 in a specific order. What works for me is to hook up my drone to my computer via the USB C cable, then power on the drone, then run the Assistant 2 program. As noted above, each time I run the program it asks if i want to install a version that "fixes some issues and improves overall software stability" to which I choose CANCEL.
Thanks for looking.
