The OP had a previous flight where he barely avoid an issue and returned with only 10% of the battery capacity remaining.I couldn't agree more. To me, the whole story sounds like B.S. "No warnings", or anything like that sounds impossible to this VERY novice user. I get all kinds of data while flying, and I may miss or ignore it, but it's there.
This time, he began the flight without establishing a home point and while the battery level shown on the screen gradually declined and dozens of weak signal warnings were issued, he continued to fly, until at 2.5 miles away the drone lost communication with the controller, reached critically low batter level, and auto landed.
It is odd that the low battery RTH did not engage. Is it possible that it was inadvertently overridden during all the signal losses, reconnections, and flight mode changes?
