Hi Pilots,

Few months ago i released a tool to create overlay graphics for your drone from the embedded subtitle track.
If you'r interested you can find it on github, clicking here.

It supposed to work with every compatible drone, unfortunately i do not have an exact list.
It depends only by the syntax of the telemetry data in the subtitle track, some more info in the repo.
I'd like to create a more accurate compatibility list, but i need some feedback for you guys.
(I can confirm that it works with latest firmware of DJI Mini 1 and 2)

I hope you'll find it interesting or useful.
You'll later need to do a little of video editing but is quite a simple job.

If you have questions, feel free to ask.
Share you results if you want.
I would like to have some feedback about it and see your videos.

2015 or 16, there was an app that did it, Dashboard or something like that. I don't have it anymore after several computer crashes and house fire. But maybe someone else can remember that far back.
Dashware, was the name

Yes, i've found it already but is really outdated, like all the free alternative.
The only alternative up to date is Telemetry Overlay, but isn't free.
That's why i made my own app, it's free, check it out if you want.

canit read gyro data?
unfortunately there are no gyro data in subtitle track.
For all the available function and a sample screenshot go to github.
However, if you only need the raw gyro data you can extract it from DJI_flightrecord log from the controller/app, and that's supported (more info in the repo)

i know the avata and avata 2 have gyro data in some modes.

Dashware.
Still available and still works well enough, if a little clunky. Its free which is good.
Dashware.net Is 404
I have no doubt that it can still work well but available... meh... it's hard find an unofficial mirror, even private gDrive share are gone.
NGL i'm trying to download it but i cant find a working link; do you have a copy of it ?
However, i suspect that dashware use Flightrecord.txt (only way i'm aware of getting yaw and pitch) that is WAY DIFFERENT from the embedded sub track, why compare tractor and submarine ?

Very cool, thanks for your efforts, definitely going to try this out!
Thanks <3

OK, first of all, softpedia... ew gross (like softonic and similar site)
we are talking about a windows only tool then ?
Last but not least, what are we talking about ? gpx from a gopro and DJI srt, man you took the tractor/submarine example way too literally (jk, pace)

Maybe windows only. No idea. I have windows as a desktop and always will.

No idea what the next line even means. I convert file types to feed into it. Especially the GoPro as you cant get GPS9 data out easily.

It's designed for DJI drone only, we agree that Dashware is your best (and free) option.
Downloaded from your link, version 1.7 is from 2015.
I promise I will give it a try.

Age doesnt really matter, its just an overrlay. There are huge numbers of of public domain XML gauges if you need difference.

I simply use it to create PNGs to use as an overlay in Resolve. Its slow but works ok.

Totally agree, but that's not the point.
You said was available, kinda is but only from third party source, for sure not maintained in last 11 years, official site no longer exist, a generic tool (dashware) vs a dji specifc tool.
Basically all the reason why i made my own.
Even the video approaching to the editing is different, what comparison are we making ?
