You might be best off getting a usb extender. I have 1 tucked in to each kit so that I don't have to get specialized cables of different lengths for when I might use a tablet or what have you.

I run a 1" or so usb-c extension, i keep a few in my kit to clear my phone cases. Also, if you search around on amazon a bit you can find some that are designed with a slightly longer plug.
