On the Mavic 2 Zoom RC, across the bottom theres Clearence, Height, Distance....I know what height means as well as Distance but "Clearence" what exactly do we need that one for?

Thanks for the illustration, I have the Manuel , but buried in a room. It would take 30 minutes to find or 2 minutes asking here. Well off I go to fly and thanks again. ( msinger )......

Oh, I forgot to ask this question and since I'm on the "Clearance" subject now. I notice there is 3 feet between the AC and ground. The Clearance show 4feet. (On RC) Do I have to live with that or can I get it closer to 3 feet or dead nuts 3 feet?

While that's not abnormal, you could try calibrating the bottom sensors if you really want to explore all possibilities.

I wouldn't expect perfection since the aircraft is not able to deploy a tape measure to find the exact distance. Instead, it can only rely on sensors to estimate the distance.

I performed a forced sensor calibration ( force, meaning the AC demanded one). I did that 2 weeks ago so I will take a bunch of planned clearance readings from RC and do a sensor calibration and compare the pre numbers with the post numbers. I am curious to the outcome. I will be happy to get dead accurate but I dont think that's not going to happen so if the 3 feet clearance becomes 3 feet 4 inches at best I will be happy with that. If I can get a 3 foot reading with an actual 3 foot AC height I will celebrate the outcome with a ice cold beer.......

"but I dont think that's not going to happen " ??? So you think it IS going to happen? ;) Sorry, I'm feeling a bit pedantic this morning.

I know 2 negatives in one sentence is a positive. So I guess I'm saying it's going to happen...well let me correct my grammer... i believe its not going to happen.. now, that's a perfect example why my grammar sucks before the morning jolt of that nice DD homemade fresh grounded coffee.

And if you don't, then have that ice cold beer anyway.

Update: I recalibrated the sensors and now the outcome.? No change that I can see. Oh well, the AC is still amazing.
