If you have a M2 Pro, why have the mini?

I’m a 107 pilot, so talking commercial applications. Other than portability, what does the mini bring to the table that the pro doesn’t?

My guess is it's smaller and more quite, so it would not draw as much attention in certain environments. If you was hoping to get in and do your thing and then get out this might help.

I think you have answered the question. Portability.
I’m going to disagree on the noise being less on the mini.

Because fly aways are cheaper?" Seriously, it's a trade off between portability and convenience, I guess. Plus, many of us are serious enthusiasts, and like to try new equipment. I just bought a Hubsan Zino Pro, to compare it to other DJI ACs I have....mainly, for fun.

for commercial applications - no reason at all, in my opinion. even for indoors flights i would feel more confident with a mavic 2 zoom or pro in ATTI mode than with mini and its rudimentary controls.

it is a travel drone, really. a small selfie machine.

Zero...I would never deploy a Mini for commercial work. If you're 107, what good could a 249g AC provide? Perhaps useful for a little pre-flight scouting but the pro is great. I'm not 107, but lease out heavy lift ACs for movie production....I outsource pilots, or require clients to have fully certified pilots.

After following all the threads on the mini over the last couple months, there's %0 chance I will purchase one.
I fly a Mavic Pro with just over 700 flights, 130 hours and 750 miles. 1 minor incident (backwards into a tree).
I think the MM would be a major downgrade compared to the MP and that might lead to a problem with overconfidence in the MM.
Still, it's a pretty cool LITTLE drone, just not for me.
I'll stick with the BIGGER of the Mavics.
Soft landings !

Given your profession, perhaps the portability could help with quick "scouting", customer demos' or just tooling around. I have a car, but also enjoy riding my bike occasionally for a different perspective. Just some thoughts for a modest investment.

This test shows the mini is significantly quieter
