I'm in USA.What's my best/most reliable option to buy a Mavic 4 Pro?Any idea what customs+import fees cost? What Korean dealers can you recommend?

I purchased this Mavic 4 Pro from this Korean seller on eBay.

I received it as advertised in 2 days.

About 2 weeks later I received a bill from FedEx for $82 for taxes, duties and fees.

As always YMMV, but this appears to be an honest seller with excellent service. I left 5 star positive feedback, and would deal with them again.
So, to my big surprise, I just received a bill from Fedex for $12 for the RC Pro 2 controller that I bought off eBay, from Korea, few weeks ago (see below). I was surprised, as seller stated tariff prices are included, but since it is just $12, I just paid it off!

If you look above, it looks to me seller has declared value of $40, yet they charged 20% custom duty on it!!! This is just crazy! I am lucky the seller did not declare the real value I paid for this item, it would have been way way more!

Is that twice now? Hard to tell without more information, what does that mean "you received a bill" is that in your email, did they drop it off at your front door, how do you get a bill from Fedex?

Anyway, from what I can tell, your seller is claiming your equipment is made in China. Most of our other sellers mark our items as Korea or Japan. Or maybe the description is more vague than "Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Remote Controller" but I guess it's ok if they mark the value at 40 and I guess they know that.

Just wanting to make sure no one has found a way to compromise the process *after* the delivery.

Not sure what you meant by that "twice now"... perhaps you are mixing my above post with someone else's, similar claim? I just received this one letter from Fedex, last Friday, it was a physical letter in my mailbox. I wasn't home the entire weekend, just opened it today, and paid it off right away, so I don't get bothered with this anymore... Those $12 ain't gonna kill me

Yep, no worries; someone else must have reported getting the same/similar notification and it was for a small amount, too after the package was already delivered from FedEx. I thought that might have been you getting hit for the 2nd time. Guess not. Still, we all get daily notifications from the USPS and UPS telling us all about our packages and package problems and we ignore every single one of them but this one sounds like it might be legit but only you would know based on the details. Hopefully there's not some scam going on.....

I was initially concerned myself, if this is not a scamming attempt going on here, but It was an official letter from Fedex, and what they do, to ensure your shipment clears customs as quickly as possible and avoid delays, they typically pay those duties and taxes to the customs authorities on your behalf, effectively advancing the money and now they are sending a letter to collect those money from me. I use Fedex myself a lot, I am super satisfied with services they provide, the last thing I would want to screw them over, hence I paid those fees to them as soon as I opened and read that letter.

Hope it’s ok to tag on here since it’s a similar question. Is there any benefit to the BH Photo Mavic 4 creator combo vs the same kit on Amazon? I am a Payboo card holder and I get the taxes refunded but even with that it’s quite a bit more expensive. $4,999 no tax at BH vs $4,373.91 including tax on Amazon. Does getting it from BH give me anything buying on Amazon doesn’t?

I have an Amazon Chase credit card that pays back 5% in cash reward that offsets most on my state's sales tax.
