I know how to downgrade the app but it will eventually force you to upgrade before you can fly, correct? I remember doing this before and being forced to upgrade or did I misinterpret something?

You always have an option of using the 'hacked' one instead, which got this kind of enforcement disabled. You won't find it on this forum, though. Just in case you don't mind getting an original older APK and running some scripts to patch it, google "DJI Bin4ry" for instructions.

Disable your auto-update... Settings-lock Screen and security-other security settings-secuirty policy update-and turn off auto-update. Hope this helps

I did download the .16 and as of now it works ok on my Samsung S7 edge. Still blotchy on my nexus 7 tablet though.
I guess what I meant on the forced update was that the DJI GO 4 app itself won't let you fly until you update. I have auto app update disabled on all devices.
