I made the massive switch from PC and purchased the iMac 2020, it came last week and I'm impressed beyond belief for video editing! The 5K 27 inch screen makes editing so nice, especially when going from a laptop.
I upgraded the RAM myself to 32GB because Apple's price was outrageous but with the Radeon Pro graphics card and 6-core processor it handles all the 4K drone footage like a hot knife through butter! I've never owned a Mac before so the learning curve has been steep! My kids use Mac's in school so their making me look like a fool when I ask for help, but its like learning a new language.
I was hesitant to make the change and pay the higher price but from my one little opinion it's been worth it so far!
