IMU calibration issue

I was prompted with an IMU error.

Acc2 "poor".

All firmware and software updated.

It does not want to move past the second step when trying to calibrate.
How long does this process take?

Okay. Figured it out.
I rebooted everything and it worked like a charm.

good to hear...as with anything with ones and zeros a reset will often fix it...
my tv locks up often and the only way to restore it is to unplug it.

Yes, their pictures of the proper orientation of the drone for each step are less that perfect and can be confusing. I had the same problem the first time I did an IMU cal on my M2Z.

Thanks. What was strange is when I rebooted the bird, iPad, and controller it became clear what to do. Rebooting solves a lot. [emoji41]

Yes, sometimes stopping the wheel and letting all the dead rats fall out helps.

Does anyone know if the surface has to be absolutely level while doing the calibration or just looks level would be okay?
