In quiet cloisters and towering naves, the breath of the sacred still lingered. Each church bell tower, each carved saint, stood as sentinel to a world both distant and present. The gothic grace of spires drew our eyes upward, but our steps remained rooted in hallowed ground.

We crossed thresholds where emperors once feasted and knights once stood vigil. Ramparts embraced us in their aged arms, and every staircase seemed to spiral back into legend. Ivy clung like memory to cold battlements; light filtered through stained glass like the sighs of forgotten prayers.

In Rocoi, in Laon, in Coucy’s silent heights and Pierrefonds’ fairytale towers, we found more than mere stone — we found the breath of history, held fast in mortar and myth. Chimay’s quiet charm cradled us at journey’s end, like the final page of a worn and noble chronicle.

We did not merely visit these places. We listened. We beheld. We remembered.

And so, with reverence, we followed —

In the Footsteps of the Past.

Thanks for the great video. I love the way you used the tele to compress your sliding moves. Also loved the interspersal of inside and outside shots. It would be cool to catch from a distance parishioners entering or leaving the church, making it come alive, the purpose for which the building was built.
Very nice. Keep them coming.

Thanks mate 🤗
Nice tip, when I have the chance to do that next time I will give a go to see what effect it has in the video.
