Don't forget to push in before twisting.

Unfortunately, some of them are on so tight that nothing will release them! No amount of force or technique will free them. Either the springs are missing, or they were crushed during installation.

Mine is so tight I'm reluctant to even take it off again. I've removed it a couple times to use filters. The filters go on (AND COME OFF) easy as can be, but the factory clear protector does not. I've removed and installed it a dozen times, and it's still just as tight and hair raising to remove.
