I was at an event last night where they had this drone on display.
I was very interested in the engine/propellor design. I was speaking with the engineer and i liked the concept. 9EA67730-7801-4374-81C7-4510B00384B4.jpeg61925550-8AE3-4EAF-9EAF-952DEB99C064.jpeg69857A74-E943-4F13-8C39-A7564A658FA4.jpeg

Are these meant to be fairly steady speed propellers?
Are their hubs ducting/sucking? air through motors?

Pretty much a pancake brushless motor with the prop integrated into the motor housing.
Also interesting configuration/alignment of the motors. This allows the craft to move side to side without actually rolling the body of the craft, increasing comfort for passengers.

What the...

Is this supposed to be a prop and motor all in one?

Yep

That’s the key detail. Increase power to some motors to “slide” to the right and others to “slide” to the left etc. without rolling. Kinda like mecanum wheels in a way.
