I'm using a Mavic 2 Pro with DJI Go 4. I have a new phone -- Pixel 7a -- and now the picture from the drone is intermittently disappearing on my phone. All the controls seem to work--the gimbal still moves as commanded. But frequently the picture on my phone freezes (in b/w) so I don't have a view of what the drone is seeing. The drone continues to obey commands and if I take a picture while the image on my phone is frozen, the photo that the drone was really seeing is later available for download, as it should be. I have tried several different cords to connect the phone to the controller, but that doesn't seem to make a difference. Any ideas?

Sounds alot like interference can you read the RSSI from the controller?( I don't remember)

Usually both the live view & the control signal will go pretty close to each other if affected by severe interference or going out of LOS... loosing the control signal will trigger failsafe RTH already after 2sec after it's lost.

I would try 2 thing's first before suspecting the connection to the drone...

1. Make sure you haven't dust & other debris in the USB connector on your phone that can prevent the cable to be fully seated.

2. Try to use the middle/bottom USB connector on the RC.

Thanks, slup. I always use the bottom USB connector. And the phone is brand new, so debris in the connection seems unlikely, but I will clean it out to be sure.
Signal strength: I also got a pacemaker about five weeks ago, and I'm wondering if it can interfere with the drone signals. The pacemaker sends a signal to my phone (by bluetooth, I think), which then goes to my doctor via wifi. Anyone else had pacemaker experience?

Your bionic ticker transmits on the 2.48gHz frequency.... the same as the drones default control signal. Go to the transmission settings tab in the main menu and manually change the drone control signal to 5.8gHz.... see if this sorts out the iffy video feed.

Thanks. Doesn't seem to help. I'm thinking its not likely to be my Pacer.

Any messages on screen when the live view stops working?

Many people have problems running Go4 on a Pixel 7 with Android 14, I don't think I have heard of anybody made it work flawlessly.
A personal experience is a friend with a Mavic 2 Pro, he bought a Pixel 7 and never got it to work with the drone. I had to give him an old Samsung S7, it worked perfect.

Silly me. I thought any phone would work!

Did you install the latest DJI Go4, version 4.3.62?
If it still does not work, I recommend finding a used phone with Android older than version 14.
Go4 is an old app, and I don't think they update it anymore.
I use Huawei P30 and P30 Pro with Android 10 on my Mavic 2 drones.
