Will flying without an internet connection cause any issues? If so what are some of those issues?

I've see a lot of people say they fly in airplane mode. So shouldn't cause an issue at all. But I'm still new to this so hopefully others will chime in.
you will possibly get a message telling you that you need to do a firmware update,its always best to check if there are any updates while you are at home with an internet connection, and you will not get maps ,and depending on what the update is about it could prevent take off, it will have no effect on how the drone flies, but could prevent you from getting approval to fly in a restricted zone this does not apply if you have a data connection to your phone ,only for WIFI only devices

I usually fly where there is no Internet, Cell Service or any other signs of Humanity.
I have been flying around my house, for what ever reason my DJI wont connect to my ISP and the cellular data service sucks. I had been having issues with my drone not hovering smoothly and my altitude reading negative..So today I went for a flight where my cellular service is great and didnt have any issues at all. It was perfect.. All my firmware is up to date on everything, in fact I believe the issues came from doing the update..I come back home and have the same issues again...kinda odd. the only thing that changed is my cell service

Your drone definitely DOES NOT need or want anything talking to it except your controller when flying.
Put your device in airplane mode when flying or turn off Wi-Fi, cell service and bluetooth.

The Smart Controller has no cellular service so that says it all.

That has nothing to do with your issues.. You do not need wifi or internet to fly..
