I agree, while phones and tablets in the list might indicate that it is not officially supported by DJI, if you look on the far right of each item you will see a column for "DJI app". If you hover over this, you will see where pilots have indicated that they have used that item with a specific app and it works. For instance, for the Ipad air with the A14 processor the OP is questioning about, while it's not officially supported, 10 pilots indicate they use the Fly App with that tablet, so it works, just not supported by DJI. My question would be if you are using an unsupported tablet and experience a problem, would DJI use that as an excuse to shoot down a warranty claim?Apparently the 12.9" iPad Pro 5th Gen is not officially supported by DJI, but from experience I can say it works fine with DJI Fly app. I see in general recent iPads are not officially supported which I take it to mean DJI has simply not confirmed by their testing that it works so the chart Big Bro posted is a bit misleading if folks read it as a list of iPads that can be used. I'd bet dollars to donuts your choice of current iPad Air will work. I'll be some general web searching will come up with an answer.
Having read too many posts about people who have had their claims denied I spent $65 on State Farm for insurance on my M3 and FPV. I can crash it, lose it, run over it and it's covered. We have all our other insurance from them so I doubt there would be a problem. I figure it's a cheap backup but I have been told if you use it...they may not want to let you re-up. Regardless of that, you pose an interesting question. I can't imagine the unsupported tablet being an issue but in today's world nothing much surprises me .I agree, while phones and tablets in the list might indicate that it is not officially supported by DJI, if you look on the far right of each item you will see a column for "DJI app". So can I ask you, if I buy the M3 will it be compatible with my iPad (e.g.: the DJI Fly app). 9.7 inches. I am assuming I would have to purchase the Lifthor tablet holder. Here is a resource I use to determine what tablets and phones work with the DJI app:
Best Tablets and Phones for DJI GO & DJI Fly (Updated Daily)
While it's not shown as being supported by DJI, The chart shows 13 pilots have indicated that they use that 6th gen Ipad with the DJI fly app and it works for them. Blue indicates DJI Fly app. I use the 5th gen Ipad with my Air 2S and the Fly app. (also not supported by DJI) and it works fine.So can I ask you, if I buy the M3 will it be compatible with my iPad (e.g.: the DJI Fly app). 9.7 inches.
